We come to you
Driveway, office car park or the hard shoulder of the A24. Wherever the car stopped.
Repair first, replace only if we must
A nail in the tread does not always mean a new tyre. Where the damage is inside the repairable zone we fit a permanent combination repair from the inside, at a fraction of the cost of a replacement.

Overview
Most punctures in Epsom are screws, nails and staples picked up on construction traffic routes, around Longmead Industrial Estate and on the approaches to the town centre. A tyre that has taken one of those in the middle of the tread is very often repairable, and a repair costs a small fraction of what a new casing does.
We work to BS AU 159, the British Standard that governs car tyre repair. In practice that means the injury must sit inside the central three quarters of the tread width, be no more than 6mm across, and the tyre must not have been driven on flat.
A correct repair is a combination unit: the injury channel is cleaned and reamed, a stem fills the hole, and a vulcanised patch seals the inner liner across it. That is a permanent repair, marked and recorded. String plugs pushed in from the outside and aerosol sealants are temporary get-you-home measures, and we will not sell one as a fix.

What's included
The tyre comes off the wheel.
Water or spray test to find every leak, not just the obvious nail.
The only way to see whether running flat wrecked the inner liner.
Injury reamed and cleaned, stem fitted, vulcanised patch bonded over the inside.
A patch adds weight, so it is balanced again before it goes back.
Marked on the sidewall, so the next fitter can see the repair.
Shoulder, sidewall or a broken liner means replacement. We say so.
Step by step
Around thirty to forty minutes from arrival to a sealed, balanced wheel back on the car.
Where is the injury, how big, and has the tyre been driven on flat?
Off the rim under protection, so the inner liner can be read.
Reamed to clean rubber, stem through the channel, patch vulcanised over it.
Remounted, rebalanced, torqued to figure, every pressure checked.
When to call
The standard is not arbitrary.
A nail in the central three quarters, in a tyre with legal tread.
The sidewall flexes on every rotation.
The outer quarter of the tread carries cornering load.
Even a short distance flat wrecks the liner and breaks cords.
Cost and detail
A repair is always cheaper than a replacement.
Scope
Local roads and surfaces we get called to again and again.
Why us
A combination repair is designed to last the remaining life of the tyre.
Damage from running flat is invisible from the outside.
Aerosol goo coats the TPMS sensor and often destroys it.
Repairing a premium tyre with most of its tread left is obvious.
A repairable casing that gets replaced anyway is waste.
Marked on the sidewall, so the tyre's history stays visible.
Where we work
We carry out mobile puncture repair throughout Epsom and the surrounding areas.
Questions
Straight answers to what customers ask before booking.
No, and anyone who says otherwise is selling you something unsafe.
A correctly fitted combination repair, carried out to the standard with the tyre off the rim, restores the tyre to its rated speed and load.
Sometimes, but it makes the job messier and more expensive. The sealant has to be cleaned out of the casing before any patch will bond, and it frequently contaminates or destroys a TPMS sensor.
Usually thirty to forty minutes on site from arrival: assess, jack, demount, prepare the injury, fit the unit, remount, balance, refit and torque. A wheel already removed and waiting for us is quicker.
There is no single legal number, but repairs have to be a sensible distance apart and all within the repairable zone.
Many run-flat manufacturers do not permit repair at all, and a run-flat that has been driven on while deflated has almost certainly suffered internal damage.
Slow leaks are frequently not punctures at all.
Yes. The phone is staffed twenty four hours and we run night callouts across Epsom and Surrey.
